Born in (Naarm) Melbourne, Australia in 1998, Hugo Kohler is a director and graduate of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). His work often revolves around young characters trying to find a sense of meaning in their own weird and wonderful ways. Exploring contemporary visions of love, loss, intimacy, dream and friendship. In 2024 he was selected for the MIFF Accelerator Lab with his short film ‘Flide’. He is currently working on a slate of long and short form projects.
